Keith's Dewott is Keith's Starter Pokemon. He was obtained before the events of The Start of a Trainer's Voyage! and made its appearance in A Battle Course of Rivals!.
History[]
As an Oshawott.
Dewott was first introduced as an Oshawott in The Start of a Trainer's Voyage! where it was chosen by Keith as his Starter Pokemon off-screen because he liked how Oshawott can use its cunning speed to defeat enemies tenfold.
Shortly after being obtained, it finally made its full appearance with its trainer in A Battle Course of Rivals! in a Pokemon battle with Randall's Tepig. In the battle, Oshawott and Tepig were evenly matched as their attacks colided numerous times. But when Oshawott's Razor Shell slammed against Tepig's Blaze-powered Flame Charge, it was revealed that Tepig fell in battle while it got burned from the attack's damage.
Prior to Triple Threat Battle!, Oshawott was later shown to have already evolved into a Dewott, when it battled against the Nacrene Gym Leader Lenora in Showdown at Nacrene City!. He quickly defeated her Watchog with its Razor Shell and then knocked out her Minccino with Aqua Jet. During the battle with her Stoutland, he couldn't cause heavier damage while using Water Gun, Razor Shell, Rock Smash, etc. As Dewott remained powerless, it was knocked out by its Giga Impact which caused Keith the Gym battle as well.
In BW24, Dewott battled Randall's Pignite again. Despite Pignite's stronger power and defense against strong attacks, the Sea Otter manages to defeat him again.
In Electrified Strategies?!, Dewott was seen on TV defeating Clay's Excadrill, earning Keith's Quake Badge. Dewott had been seen using Scald.
Character[]
As an Oshawott, Dewott is cunning and strongwilled according to Keith. Every time it battled Randall's Pignite, Dewott would always compete against it, accepting it as its main rival that it couldn't make fun of despite them being Starter Pokemon
